The process for election of one regulated member to Council is beginning, with the opening of nominations for regulated members.
The nomination period begins October 18 and closes at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
The Council member information package and Council application/nomination package have been posted to the ACAC members’ website.
Those regulated members that wish to put their names forward for consideration must fully complete all requirements in the nomination package and email the completed package to email@example.com no later than 4 p.m. on November 10, 2021.
As has been shared in previous member communication, there is a new nomination process in place for regulated members wanting to serve on College Council. The competency-skill assessment is part of the nomination process to help ensure successful candidates have the key experience and skills needed to effectively govern in upholding the mandate of public protection, as directed by the Health Professions Act.
Following the close of nominations, the Nominations Committee will review all candidate nomination packages received and make recommendations to Council on those candidates that meet the nomination criteria. Council will finalize a list of candidates for election by their peers.
The names of all the approved candidates will be posted to the members’ website in early January.
Voting by all members in good standing will occur later in January 2022.
If you have questions about the nomination process, or wish to submit your nomination submission, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Nominations close on Wednesday, November 10 at 4.p.m.
