NOTICE TO MEMBERS Separation of College and Association to occur December 1, 2021 As members are aware, the college and association functions must be separated as part of the changes made to the Health Professions Act in Bill 46.
The ACAC has committed to keeping all members informed of the progress toward this separation as well as other actions to meet these new legislated requirements.
The new Chiropractic Association of Alberta (CAA) will assume all responsibility for association functions as of December 1, 2021. The association will use the http://albertachiro.com website.
Also on December 1, 2021, the new College of Chiropractors of Alberta (CCOA) will maintain the single-mandate regulatory college functions. The new college website will be http://theccoa.ca. The CCOA will remain in the current ACAC office space and maintain the ACAC mailing address and phone number.
All regulated members of the ACAC who, during renewal or when becoming a new or returning member since renewal, provided their expressed consent to share their information with the association, will begin to receive direct communication from the CAA as of December 1, 2021, as well as information from the CCOA.
